Dax practices in complex commercial litigation, construction litigation, product liability, and employment law. He has participated in jury and bench trials alike in both federal and state courts.
Representative Case History (Partial)
- Assisted in obtaining approximately $800,000 jury verdict in race discrimination matter against a high-end car dealership.
- Obtained several summary judgments in matters relating to race discrimination.
- Reached favorable settlement on behalf of a nightclub in a suit involving fraud against a banking institution.
- Handled a myriad of product liability cases on behalf of a tire manufacturer relating to a nation wide recall of tires.
- Represent real estate developer in a $3 million breach of contract case related to the sale of property.
Dax received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, cum laude, and his law degree from Vanderbilt Law School, cum laude.
While at Vanderbilt, Mr. Lopez was an editor on the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law and president of the Vanderbilt Bar Association. He also served as a member of the Vanderbilt Law School National Council, an advisory board to the dean of the law school.
Upon completing law school, Dax served as the judicial law clerk for the Honorable Hector M. Laffitte in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico from 2001 – 2002.
Mr. Lopez is a past president of the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association and currently serves on its Board of Directors. Mr. Lopez also serves as the Treasurer of the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials. He has also been a frequent guest on the Emmy Award winning Spanish language show “Leyes Cotidianas” on topics relating to employment law.
