Jonathan represents individuals and businesses as plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial and business disputes in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and mediations. He has successfully tried cases to verdict in various courts and in arbitrations. Jonathan specializes in significant business fraud and commercial tort cases (including claims of tortious interference with contractual relations, breaches of fiduciary duties, misappropriation of business opportunities, Federal and Georgia RICO violations, and trade secret violations); contract disputes; franchise disputes; business versus business litigation; employment discrimination and wage hour claims; whistleblower claims; and consumer litigation (including deceptive trade practices). He has handled numerous partnership and shareholder disputes involving closely held companies and often advises clients on issues involving restrictive covenants, theft and destruction of electronic data, and employee practices. He is licensed to practice law in Georgia and North Carolina.
Jonathan has been recognized as an outstanding lawyer by his peers. He has been given an AV Preeminent Peer Review rating from Martindale Hubbell and a 10.0 Superb rating by Avvo. He was also named a SuperLawyers Rising Star in 2011.
During the 2010 Session, Jonathan served as Legal Counsel to the Judiciary Committee of the Georgia House of Representatives, where he advised on the legal, political and constitutional implications of legislation before the Committee.

Jonathan received his undergraduate degree from Georgia Institute of Technology, high honors, before obtaining his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law. While at UGA, he served as the Managing Editor of the Georgia Law Review.
Prior to beginning his practice, he clerked for the Honorable John F. Nangle of the United States District Court in the Southern District of Georgia.
